Not a halachic authority

Aruch HaShulchan AI is a free study and reference aid. It surfaces what the Aruch HaShulchan of Rabbi Yechiel Michel Epstein says, drawn only from that text. It is not a posek, does not issue psak, and must not be relied upon for practical halacha. For any practical question, consult a qualified rav. The Aruch HaShulchan is one Acharon among many; a given halacha may be qualified, disputed, or decided differently elsewhere.

AI answers may contain errors

Answers are generated by an AI system that retrieves and summarizes passages from the Aruch HaShulchan. Although the system is designed to answer only from the text and to say when the Aruch HaShulchan does not address a question, it can still misread, omit, or misstate. Always verify an answer against the cited simanim and se’ifim, which are shown with every response and readable in full in the reader.

Sources & attribution

Hebrew text: the public-domain printed edition of the Aruch HaShulchan, obtained via Sefaria. This attribution is preserved wherever the text appears. A few sections of the work are not part of the public-domain edition and are therefore not included; see How it works for the specifics.
